Seven years by default: Burna AI's regulatory retention setting holds audit logs for 2,555 days. That runs past the period FDA sets for investigators, who keep IND study records for two years after a marketing application is approved for the indication, or for two years after the investigation is discontinued and FDA is notified (21 CFR 312.62(c)). The audit log is also kept when a patient's data is erased on request, holding identifiers and counts only, as the proof the erasure happened.
