EDC INTEGRATION

Why does EDC write-back matter for CROs and Phase 1 sites?

Because the EDC is where monitor queries open. In Phase 1 oncology nearly every lab value and symptom can become a query, and each one costs coordinator time and pushes database lock later. When the adverse event lands in the EDC with its CTCAE criterion, the source sentence, the rationale and the per-drug attribution already attached, the material a monitor would ask for is already in the record, so fewer queries open and the cycle on the rest shortens. For a CRO that is cost to deliver, the line a sponsor benchmarks in a bid; for a site it is capacity for the next study. Burna AI files into Medidata Rave in a session the coordinator signs and the platform verifies by reading the entry back, and the graded record exports for entry into other EDCs. The coordinator stays the one who files; the platform does the transcription and attaches the evidence.
