Through ongoing internal testing demonstrating strong agreement with expert clinicians, and through a concordance study Burna AI is running as a Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate participant. The study covers 1,600 cases drawn from a de-identified dataset of 3 million patients, across three campuses, compared against an adjudicated two-clinician reference panel, with Andrea Pirzkall as co-principal investigator. Results, including Burna AI's own agreement figures, read out in December 2026. For context, two human reviewers identifying CTCAE toxicities in the same notes agreed at a published kappa of 0.59 to 0.68 (Fairchild et al., 2020). Inside the platform, blind grading lets several raters grade the same case without seeing each other, routes disagreements to an adjudicator and measures inter-rater agreement. The study design is described at burna.ai/validation.
