COMPARISON AND ALTERNATIVES
How is Burna AI different from EDC systems like Medidata Rave and Veeva Vault?
An EDC is the system of record for trial data capture; Burna AI produces the adverse event data before it reaches the EDC. Medidata Rave, Veeva Vault EDC and similar systems store the fields a coordinator enters. Burna AI reads the clinical note and suggests what goes in them: the CTCAE term and grade, the MedDRA LLT code, an attribution score for each drug, and the line in the medical record behind each. An investigator reviews and signs, and the signed record carries its audit trail. From there, a coordinator can file the adverse event log and SAE form into Medidata Rave directly; for other EDCs, the signed record exports for entry. The EDC stays the system of record, and the two work together.
