How does Burna AI import patient records from the EHR?

A coordinator connects their EHR account to Burna AI through SMART on FHIR, searches the EHR for the patient by name and date of birth, picks the encounter and imports it. Before anything is saved, a review step shows the source encounter, how each FHIR field maps to the Burna AI record, and any conflict with a record already on file, so a mismatch is seen and resolved by a person before import. Clinicians can also open Burna AI from inside the EHR through a SMART launch, which links their EHR identity to their Burna AI account. Imported patient records are stored in Burna AI's isolated data plane for protected health information, scoped to your organization, and every access to them is recorded in the audit log.
