MedDRA version 28.0. NCI states that each CTCAE v6.0 term is a MedDRA v28.0 Lowest Level Term (LLT); CTCAE v5.0 used MedDRA 20.1. MedDRA itself is updated twice a year, in March and September, so newer MedDRA versions exist (version 29.0 was released in March 2026), while the CTCAE v6.0 publication stays tied to 28.0. The 790 terms that keep their name from v5.0 to v6.0 keep their LLT codes too; renamed terms, such as Thrombocytopenia in place of Platelet count decreased, carry new codes.
